$8.2M Acquisition, Working Capital & Capex Facilities

WJ Capital Partners is pleased to have successfully advised on and settled $8.2M in major bank facilities for an industrial client, supporting the acquisition of the warehouse premises they had previously leased, alongside the implementation of working capital and capex facilities to support the next stage of growth.

The transaction was structured to utilise both the property security and the strength of the company balance sheet, enabling the client to fund 100% of acquisition costs, including stamp duty, while also putting in place a broader banking platform aligned with the needs of a high-growth business.

WJ Capital Partners ran a formal tender process across the major banks to create competitive tension and secure the right long-term outcome for the client.

Key outcomes included:
• 100% of acquisition costs funded, including stamp duty
• Major bank relationship established following a competitive tender process
• Multi-tranche facility structure implemented, balancing interest-only property-backed funding with a principal and interest sub-tranche designed to amortise to more typical secured leverage levels over time
• Working capital and new capex facilities incorporated into the broader banking solution
• A long-term funding platform established to support the client’s continued growth and future capital requirements

This was a strong example of the value of strategic lender engagement and disciplined structuring, particularly where the objective is not only to fund an acquisition, but to deliver a banking solution aligned to both current cashflow requirements and longer-term growth.

At WJ Capital Partners, we advise clients on a range of complex financing matters with a focus on structuring, execution and commercial outcomes.
